I actually just ordered some greaseless compound, I found a site recommended here that is like 40 miles from my home. I ordered some 600 grit greaseless... i'm hoping it will be faster than the classic sandpaper, then black white green red compounds. My results are good now, just takes forever.
On the subject, not sure if anyone here is familiar with the Edgepro apex, and the polishing tapes but wow... they are GREAT for polishing razors for restore.
Lol, same exact problem here. I say I'm going to sell them because I got good deals. Then I decide to hang on to them for a little bit because they are so nice. I've been not so lucky on ebay recently so I think I'm going to do more selling in the classifieds here. Nothing hurts more than watching a $200 razor sell for $80.

I also use the 600 greasless. It's good stuff. I find it tricky sometimes to make the transition from 600 to the different compunds. I do think I've been overloading the compounds though, read the buffing tutorial on their website, it helped me a lot!
