Has anyone any feedback about these? It wasn't cheap, it's solingam so I think it's pretty decent quality. Name: uploadfromtaptalk1458909150618.jpg

I also ordered this strop it does not have a nylon or canvas back it's only leather but I've read that's just to personal preference. Any feedback on my stuff would be great.thanks

    Hello eventhorizon82-

Great looking str8! Nice strop too. I have the same I use for dedicated paste. Any German brand str8 in my opinion is a good bet for a consistent shaver. Looks like yew wood scales????

Let us know how the shave went!

Does it matter that the strop is only leather with no fabric on the other side

Nope, many people have just used leather to great success. Make sure you practice with a butter knife so as not to cut up the strop with improper technique

In the past I used a leather only strop, that was what I used for over a year. The back (rough) side can be used instead of linen, felt, etc. followed by the front (smooth) side with very satisfactory results.

    Nice razor!
    You'll enjoy using it....
In time I would get linen to use with your strop.....but the rough leather should be fine til then. Use the tools you have until you can add them in time.
Is it over there or over yonder?

Not really but eventually you will want a nylon or linen strop for setting up the razor to be stopped on plain leather. But then again, its personal preference.
