Talking RH & Sons Ltd Straight razor

I went to Easter dinner with family today & my niece's husband gave me a razor. He got it when he was in the Air Force stationed in England. He got it for a little of nothing at a "Boot Sale". Logo says RH & Sons LTD. On the blade it has "For Stiff Beards"& No 250 on the other side of the tang.
I thought was pretty cool as my dad's name was Ralph Huffman. I will get some Pic's up tomorrow. It has some cool jimping that I have never seen before.

Yes it is an old keyboard. Besides having picture problems I had a keyboard that certain letters wouldn't work. Had this one in the garage & it works;-).
I got it at Big Lot's for a couple of bucks a few years ago. It is easy for my old eyes to see!

I tried posting pictures over at Shave Nook, a UK site & had NO luck. No one over there had heard of it & that where my niece's husband got it.

There was an R. Hovenden & Sons, Ltd. razor maker in London circa 1892. Of course, I can't be sure it's the same company. The only example I've seen of one of those is also shoulderless.

    R. Hovenden was a wholesale Barber & Beauty Wholesaler so who knows who made his razors. They were most famous for human hair wigs from what I have found.

    P.S.
Now looking for the info about the razor maker, I've paid attention I've seen surname Hovenden before, on the smoking pipe.
    And found many coincidences.
"The mark is RHS. The makers are Robert, Albert and Charles William Hovenden, trading as R. Hovenden & Sons. The firm was active in 1894 at 91, 95 City Road, Finsbury, London when the firm entered (as merchant) a mark (RH over S into a lozenge) in Chester Assay Office. Another similar mark was entered in 1900 in London Assay Office as R. Hovenden & Sons Ltd, gold and silver workers.
Another mark (R.H & Ss Ltd into a rectangle) was entered in 1905 in Chester Assay Office, as R. Hovenden & Sons Ltd, 29/33 Berners Road and 89/95 City Road, London (general merchants and warehousemen)".

Happens to have an R.H & Sons mustache razor. Very cool razor with relatively short blade and a long tang w/ ivory scales
