    Exclamation Barburys Razor by Sibel

    hi everyone here a review of this brand's straight razor,

    i had it last week, it was sent from someone else who asked me to get it shave ready. well, that's a real piece of poop . the proportions of the blade are not calculated well, the spine is too thick which does not allow you to have a fine razor edge but you could see on any cheap knife's edge. it's impossible to have an edge to shave. the steel is asian. it's too soft. the prices are as i found about 70-90€, not cheap, but it's waste of time and money. this razor(!) is even can't be used as a knife. it's a real trash.

    otherwise,

    - the finition of the scales are... well there is not any finition. the scales are made from bone (that's what they say online) about 4mm (minimum) of large, they are too thick.

    - the pins. there not any pins. they inserted some screws, very similars as this;

    they are not tight, the blade move too easy which is annoying while honing.

    the conclusion is;

    the blade made up in some other country; maybe pakistan, china (i don't think really as i saw some GD and read the reviews of ZY, this blade is worst of them, not possible to shave) and ressabmlied in europe.

    some bad pictures of the blade i took, before i sent back the blade.

    Thank you for posting this. Myself, I was thinking of trying an ZY razor just to see what it is about. Mind you it is not anywhere near the cost of the Barburys razor so it won't hurt as much if the ZY turns out to be a POS.

    my personnal opinion is, this tool is made for take those hipsters' money, as they started to interest in straight razors.

    Yep, just looking at the pic, it looks like a POS to me. It's so unfortunate what people will try & I saw a couple similar in an auction & they had a lot of bids them plus the blades said Pakistan on them.
