    Default Imperial Question

This is my 2nd Imperial. It is not in as bad shape as this picture makes it look. There is rust on the tail but the blemishes on the blade are just some kind of "goo" that will polish off. I have stopped the active rust. Anyone have one like this? I feel like I know very little about Imperial in general. My other one shaves like a champ.

Nice razor! Love the cyclist on the face. You have some folks in this area that do "Blade Re-hab"! Take a look to the NC meets and there is a big contingent of us that meet every few months in Pittsboro area.

I went to the last one and got to meet all the guys, had a great time and learned more about honing in three hours than in the past 18 months. Greatbolo lives in Winston so I try to run into him at least monthly.

Awesome! I can never put screen names here with faces. I am glad you were able to attend. We should have another hopefully coming up real soon in the next month or two.

I have an imperial also and had one more pass through. The one I have now is a great shaver. High quality but it is on its way as a gift to a friend. The links above will give you some back ground and some other leads to google.
What a curse be a dull razor; what a prideful comfort a sharp one

Thanks BobH, great info. I found an older thread here that had some insight and a few pics. The more I know about the history of a razor the better it seems to shave. I couldn't resist the temptation so I put an edge on this one and shaved with it without cleaning it. took and edge like a dream and shaved great. Now to make it shine.
