Default I can't believe none of you outbid me (not complaining)

So I put one razor on my bidding list, but a really renown brand, but in my eyes had a lot of things I like. The razor did have a couple of rust dots on the edge, but it had a lot of things going for it. The razor has a 25mm blade, original scales with the pins and with an intact inlay, with a beautiful almost triangular spine that flows into a nice proto French point. The listing started at $20 if I recall correctly and for 5 days it went almost unnoticed. I took a look when there were 4 hours left and it was at ~$37 and I was debating if I should bid, but decided not. Came back with 17 minutes left and submitted my bid for a dollar more but I was still not the high bidder, so I set my bid at $45 and became the highest bidder at $40. Just to lock on it in case of one somebody tried to outbid me at the last second, I set my bid sniper to bid $55 in the last 5 seconds. Had I known the real state of the razor I would've gone higher. To my surprise nobody really tried and I ended up the winner of this beauty

By the way any info on the brand or maker? Here is the listing: http://pages.ebay.com/link/?nav=item...024790&alt=web

I actually saw that & had it saved in my watch list but I missed it & I'm glad to be honest. I wouldn't want to bid against a member & I'm glad you got that beauty!

I've had to take a break from E-Bay myself, too addicting. It was as hard as quitting painkillers. I now have a bunch of razors that need sharpening, and my left leg is almost bald from "Checking". Some needed (need) the spine taped and a coat of black majic marker on the edge. I'll get my 2 W&B shaving sharp one of these days, they have some hard steel. How sharp was this razor?, looks like a brand new one.

It was able to cut hair, but there was some corrosion on the edge ( evident only with a sub microscope) which I got rid of with about 5 minutes on the 1k. You are right it was almost new, at least it had almost 0 hone wear and outside of a couple of rust dots the blade is in pristine condition.
