Just me but your blade looks pretty good. I have a razor that looks worse than that and I get great shaves out of it. I would not be overly worried about using that razor. Just my opinion of course.

I'm trying to like it, I really am. But the shave was not good when I bought it, and wasn't good after I sent it to a honemeister. I am trying to hone it from scratch right now, and if that fails I will send it to another honemeister...

I would let somebody else give a shot at honing. There are some great honemeisters on this forum. Check the classified section. The only obstacle with it giving a good shave is the edge. There are others of course, The most likely is the edge. Good luck.

Here's what a bad edge looks like.

Surprisingly, that razor doesn't shave all that badly if you remember where the hole in the edge is.

Looks like you are okay.............just stay up on drying it off after each use real well and putting a good oil to it. I use Ballistol myself.

Brass domed, collarless, silverrod. Wood scales. Another kind mentor sent me projects to improve my skills. Got the Wedge end correct. Hid 2 SS washers under the dome.
And that Mentor says have fun and goes on vacation.
I will work more on it tomorrow. Only way to learn is ask and try. Its fun when it works out.
