    I know he didn't reset the bevel, so I say go for it
    I just took a caliper to my 3M tape, it measured at .14mm, not enough to worry about, as far as I'm concerned. I'm sure not gonna buy a case of the scrapa tape for that little of a difference I have been a little worried about honing the tungsten though. I'm guessing just a few more passes on ceramic and it will all work out.

    Just looked at a few of these razors, the guy sure makes some beautiful blades! Pricey but beautiful! $400.00+ is a little steep for me!

    after reading this thread just wanted to say to all that have one that these look very, very nice and based on feedback a smooth shave. The tungsten steel ones sound really interesting. I became very curious and decided to contact Sergej via ebay several days ago and awaiting a response. Can anyone that has already communicated with him tell me if this was right way to go about it and if he usually responds quickly?

    scrum;

    I have yet to successfully communicate with Sergej in any capacity, not for lack of trying I might add. I purchased mine from is..ma (Andrej) on ebay. All transactions were flawless.

    Thanks for the reply Robini. I noticed that seller 'is..ma' last week on ebay too. Glad to hear you are happy with transaction and razor. Andrej works with Sergej I guess? I saw the pics of your razors on another thread 'rigarazor regatta' very nice.

    I suspect the man is out in the shop. He has seriously pumped-out the razors.
    Wish he would do thinner grinds someday.......

    Yes Tom, a full hollow RigaRazor would be magnificent. Ive only ever seen 1/4 hollows ones, Im not saying he cant but there are only a few custom makers that can do it.

    Does anyone have experience with Riga's tungsten and Bohler steels? Opinions...

    I have the Bohler steel. I think it is tool steel. Reliable and definitely hone-friendly.
    Responds to a bit of CroOx and a pile of the stropping regimen.
    It gets better!

    All 4 of mine are Tungsten, and as I've mentioned numerous times, as far as I'm concerned, closest thing I've shaved with to the original Sheffield steel....love them.
