This is my first razor I paid $25 how did I do? It is fixable, right?
Any info on its age, company how made anything like that would be greatly appreciated!

Thanked: 1184Yep. Just have to take the chip out and put a new bevel on it. As for cleaning , I think a good polish is also going to take the gold wash off. Sometimes if you look at it long enough it comes off :<0)

Thanked: 580Have the exact same razor, they take a very good edge. Would be worth sending it out for honing. That is a fair size chip, and may need a bit of re-shaping at the heel.

In one picture it looks like there may be a crack there. You'll need to check that first.

Thanked: 580Would be guessing, but '60s to '70s. Just watch out for that tip when you get it up and running. Very hollow ground razor, another reason why I would send it out. Not one I would attempt to repair if I were starting out. If not done properly, the chip may develop a crack.
