Thanked: 77Something new
I was at an antique mall today and one of the vendors said she would give me a rolls razor for helping her out for the day. Having Never Seen One Before I figured why not.

Rolls Razors are fantastic, and that one you were "gifted" looks to be virtually unused, NOS as they say....great find!
Here's a pic of one in the box they come in....

Thanked: 77So when you posted the picture of the Mint razor I realize that the base was crammed into the lid and when I pulled it out I found all the instructions and original papers sent with the razor.

Back in '07 on one of the other shaving forums I was doing a search for something else (can't recall what) and came across a thread where a guy had one of these and extra blades. He was posting about honing the blades and the Rolls was his favorite shaver. Nice kit you've got there.
Be careful how you treat people on your way up, you may meet them again on your way back down.

Very good nick mate
And yes you need to hone them with layers of tape to suit the height difference to the home when fitted to the machine as they raise higher than normal flat honingSaved,
to shave another day.
