Thread: I like the look of the Dovo Renaissance...

It is a shame that the scales are made of Spanish Oak, which is a dead ringer for plywood. I bought an older Dr. Balfanz, it sure looks like the same blade, but without anything fancy written on it and generic "Solingen, Inox" script on the plastic scales. The Meister series also looks very similar. The box mine came in states "Worlds Largest Razor Works" with a coat of arms. Anybody know what company is the largest producer of razors in Solingen?

I did not acquire the Dovo version because of the scales, I bought the generic version.

That still looks nice though. Smooth shaves to you.
