    Default Wusthof Tridente 717

Any thoughts on this particular razor? I can't seem to find a thing in the archives here about it. There are a couple of interesting examples floating around I am looking at...

It seems historically a couple Wusthof models were fetching quite a price...and now perhaps not so much?

Any information would be appreciated. I am intrigued and the price is seemingly right, but I don't want to shell out and run into a common QA issue or something of that nature.

Never owned a Wustoff razor but I do know that they seem to have a pretty good rep with chefs and their current production knives. Just like Henkels knives seem to be well regarded. I don't think it is much of a gamble in quality so long as it is in good condition at a reasonable price.

I've used their knives several times..They offer a range of quality, so you can find blade from 30$ to 200$
Regarding razors, i saw them on ebay for the first time and i think that the price is too high

Yes, for some reason there does seem to be a premium on Wustoff razors and why I have not bought on yet.

These are vintage Wustoff products and it is possible that when they were produced there was only one quality level made. That is opposed to todays practice of having a product for each price point as Henckels does with it's current knife production making 3 different lines of knives.

I still would not hesitate to buy a vintage Wustoff razor for that reason, at the right price for me though.

I have one. I've had it for years. They can be hard to come by. Nothing special about them however just a good solid razor similar to henckels.

Haha, was that intentional or a slip of the fingers?
