I just got my first W+B, an LongTail, it has funny masonite? scales? look like fiber board with black paint and they might be Original to the razor? sure is light and well balanced, if I change the scales they will be light carbon fiber or Ivory.

I was reading this thread & I stopped around page 5-6. I can see where I left Michal thanks on May 21. I got to doing other things plus I'll have other windows open on my computer but I came back because I had so many windows open, I was closing out some but looking at them first & I left this one open & have been reading it until I was finished. I can't believe what went down & what I was reading after I was sidetracked for a few days.

Michael has guts & he sounds determined to accomplish his endeavor but some are in doubt & he hasn't even started making them yet! And like a few others have said, things have changed over the years, especially during the last 100 or more years. We will see what he produces & I hope he is very successful with this idea plus I wish him the best of luck. Those of you who have your doubts, give the guy a chance before you make negative comments about him! I signed up when I first read about it so we'll see what happens but until then, there should be no uncertainty with his dream.

The negativity & personal grievances need to go IMHO. We are here to help others out, share our ideas & thoughts but not make others look bad. Sure, there might be some disagreements at times but that's normal, yet at the end of the day, we call it a night & tomorrow's another day. It isn't hard to keep this forum enjoyable & even throw in a little humor at times.

I hope this dream comes true Michael.

I want to weigh in. I don't know what these will be like. I'm hoping for the best. I think, when my Zulu Grey gets here, I'll have an idea of their quality. Again, I'm hoping these are great and affordable.

Yeah I hope they are great razors but the one thing that doesn't go together are the words great and affordable those two words are not happy bed fellows, I'll settle for great and fairly expensive over affordable and mediocre.
