Brooke's & Crookes, & AIC
Hello,
New to straight razor shaving, and just picked up a couple of antiques locally. One is a Brooke's & Crooks from England, and has etching on the spine with a floral pattern and what looks like the word "Saturday", and the other is an Allegany Instrument Corp from New York. Anyone know the general age / quality of these razors?
I have searched locally to try to find someone to hone them and get them shave ready, but no luck yet. Any suggestions of where I could send them off to get that done?

Here is a good place to start. I am certain there are other members in your state. It's not what you know, it's who you take fishing!

Thanks, I just purchased the knife sharpening service and will send them off to get it done. Figure that might be faster than trying to find someone locally.

Thanked: 4828Sometimes island life leaves us sending stuff back and forth. It is part of the price we pay for living in paradise.

From what I can see from the pictures, on my phone, they look to have minimal wear. Best of luck and welcome to the fold. It would be a good idea to look into buying a strop.
