Tc I had not thought of that point, that's exactly why I came here first before attempting this on a perfectly good razor. Checking the measurements it would only be 1/16" difference it goes from 3/16" to 1/4" so most likely it wouldn't be noticeable but if it was bad enough I could always use the scales on something else an vise versa. It disappoints me anyway seeing quality razors in plain plastic scales anyway.

It's a pretty easy process just use a bog standard bench grinder a steady hand and a jug filled with ice cold water, grind a little then dip in the water then back to the grinder. PS use the side of the stone on the grinder and not the front also use the plate to keep the blade at a constant 90 degrees.

Celticcrusader I know that it's easy (for some not all) I have had to do it to repair a few blades. I was more looking to see if people here had done it to perfectly good blades because they didn't like the shape of that particular blade.
The only reason I was considering it is I got the blade for 30something dollars an it's a round point an I prefer other points also I injured my back at work on Memorial Day (Monday) an was wrongfully terminated Tuesday so I have time on my hands that Needs to be filled, mostly so that I don't have the urge to cave people's skulls in from the current anger from my situation. Working with the razors calms me down. So does participating here so I thought I'd ask the question to gt everyone's input an then start this venture or not haven't completely decided.
I do appreciate everyone's input as it gives me perspective on this Project if I choose to follow through with it (still undecided).
Again thanks to everyone for their input I really do appreciate it.Last edited by KsStraightShaver; 06-09-2016 at 09:01 PM.

FAL I do need too do that, I haven't decided if I'm going to though I have spoken with a lawyer but it's just not me. I just want to take care of my family without dealing with a$$hole bosses/companies. I don't know if it's worth it I've only been there 6 months an I don't think that the injury is anything permanent ( but who knows). I do know that I was let go so that the big wigs in the office could hire family so I may just call the corporate office an see if I can deal with it that way first because like I said I just want to be able to care for my family that's all I want.
I actually had a job 3 years ago where my boss was harassing me day in an day out, screwing with me about everything I had 25+ people that were gonna go to court for me over that. I mean I had them by the balls (gift wrapped even) an I didn't go through with it. Here's an example of what was going on.
I came into work an our handbook said you had to have well kept facial any style was ok as long as it was trimmed I came in boss said it wasn't sent me home I said fine I'll be back tomorrow he said I'm not sending you home for the day it will be unexcused I said my lawyer will make sure it's excused. So they called every male employee at home an said if you have facial hair you must shave it off ( little did they know all of them were calling me letting me know.
In this situation I understand that I am owed an I would be standing up to them letting them know that they can't treat their employees like that (present an future) an this is a little different than harassment but it's still not me.
