Esbjerg, or recently in Vienna
Vienna. Italy's second most northernmost city. Decadent style. Morbid charme. Quality galore.
I was there to give a speech for an international organisation, and found a few, scarce, spare minutes to re-visit my favourite shop. In order of appearance, here are some impressions.
Right off Graben, there is this. And this is not exactly the prettiest part of town.
Welcome to Esbjerg. If there is a deep etched Revisor in the main window, you cannot be wrong. Mind their new Norbeck line of products. Every bit as good as anything Esbjerg ever made, but slightly more affordable.
No, you cannot. It is that beautiful. Aust, Koraat, Revisor, Wacker. Eat your heart out.
More Aust and Revisor.
But wait, there's more. They have every shaving soap worth having in their arsenal. Personally, I find the absence of "artisan" "soaps" very refreshing.
Instead they have some nice rarities. Never mind that spurious Solingen reject in the top row, the rest is stellar.
And then it was back to work. Yes, that is 60 country flags in the background. You just have to love Vienna.
For completeness's sake, their shop can be found here: http://www.esbjerg.com/Last edited by RobinK; 06-16-2016 at 10:57 PM. Reason: http://www.esbjerg.com/

It's very cool to see a shop of such high caliber. What a great array of razors! Being the proud owner of three Koraat's, it's great to see Ulrik's work being showcased in such a fine establishment that is so close to his home. Kinda makes me want to buy an airline ticket.
Thanks for sharing!

As far as any more Koraat's, I'll design them and deal directly with Ulrik as I did with my first two. Visiting with him and designing another on a visit would be a must. The third I absolutely stole off of Ebay.
The Revisor's, Austs and others would be a pleasure to see. I'm sure that I'd find something that I had to have.
As far as dress, I guess that I'd be going for the ugliest person. I'd be a real spoiler! Nothing but Levi jeans and t-shirts for me! No orange caps (but green money).

Vienna has got to be the classiest city I have visited in Europe. I have fond memories of the trams, stunning architecture and coffee houses.
Thanks for sharing Robin.

I quite enjoyed my time in Vienna, sitting in some beautiful cafe's, and of course, actually standing in Mozart's apartment, the same with Sigmund Freud's home, so much beauty...would love to go back.
But after every shave, I get a taste, the Esbjerg Aftershave Oil, which is my absolute favorite addition to my shaving routine for the last 6 months or so, just finished placing another order for two more bottles...
