Thread: New (to me) Hart Super Shorty

Happy Birthday to me. Just received my Hart Super Shorty 7/8 French point. The concept was intriguing as I had shaved with regular straights for many years before I found a left-handed Kamisori to try. The short, quick blade of the Kami worked well in hard to reach areas and was heavy enough to provide a similar feel.

When I saw the Hart, heavy 1/4 hollow grind, etc... I thought that it would be similar. I was right! Nice quick shaver that takes a super sharp edge and is well balanced. It has a little different sound while shaving too. Utilitiarian feels like the right word.

It's not flashy, just a solid, well-built tool. Hand made in America and Zowada inspired made the decision a little easier.

I'm not sure this will become an everyday razor but it is sweet and I was not disappointed.
