Howdy manah!
Many thanks for the reference to the thread you listed.
Since the Illing on the scales of my razor is aligned like the picture posted and since the series number is 10072 1/2, I am leaning toward the opinion that I got an authentic Henckels for a great price. I feel perfectly content to go on thinking so until I get work from Henckels informing me otherwise.
I have updated my speculation as to the manufacturing date -- based on the information in the thread, a date of 1966 seems much more likely.Last edited by howdydave; 01-05-2017 at 06:44 AM.
