A Joseph Rodgers and sons beauty!
Hi Everyone!
This is my first post here, ive been restoring and looking around the forum for quite a while, but just havent posted anything till now.
Well, i wanted to post this because i personaly have never seen a more beautiful razor than this one!! Oh the curves. It came in the mail the other day and
Its a 7/8 near wedge with no jimping top or bottom. Nice and heavy.
Now i understand what people a going on about when they say that shaving with a wedge feels completely diferent
to a full hollow (first wedge)!
Does anyone know more about the age of this? I know that its pre 1891 because of the absence of the "england" stamp (thats from what ive read on here).
for any info id be really greatful!
Unfortunately ive no idea what the original scales were like. ive made these from higly transparent blond horn.
Engoy!

Wow nice work for your first attempt. Scales are very nicely done, perfect choice for that razor. Welcome to the forum.

I m impressed with the quality of the work and the sensitivity you have shown for the era and blade shape! Thin scales are not usually seen in a new person's work. You did them and that is "Right."
Thank you!
