    Actually I like the shape and the edge is straight. I think I'll clean it up and hone it as it is.

    Really my friend, it isn't worth it. All due respect, do you know how to hone a razor? If you want to try honing, buy a cheap but good one on eBay & practice honing on it. I might even have an old one around here if you need something to practice on. Do you have any hones? If not, you will need a barbers hone or a set of hones. If you haven't done so yet, look on Youtube about honing. Lynn has some on there, just type in his name. Glen aka gssixgun also has some good videos on there about honing razors & with different stones.

    Unfortunately, I must agree with engine46. Your blade seems defunct to me, and in my opinion you'll have a most satisfying introduction to straight razor shaving with a blade preserved in its geometry, lenght and high.
