Default New (to me) DOVO #41 - Genuine MOP Scales

Picked this one up from another forum member last week in the classifieds. The pictures were OK, however, I must admit that the Genuine MOP scales really stand out in-person and are far prettier than I imagined. Overall condition of the razor is flawless. I did reset the bevel and hone with tape (I do this to all new-to-me acquisitions that don't come directly from retailers) just to set it how I like it for future honing (gets the hard work out of the way). I was told this is a limited production series, however information is pretty scattered and I can't find much about these...so any insight would be appreciated. It appears to be fairly recent production. Pics below!

Without the flash shows the depth of the MOP scales a bit better:

Silver lined I expect. You don't seen natural MOP that long anymore. They do produce some from reconstituted pieces and acrylic. I have a modern Bismarck with faux mother of pearl scales, and they are nothing like the real deal.

Some years ago, IIRC, SRD had a few and said they were the last of the genuine pearls that Dovo would be producing. Lovely razor.
Be careful how you treat people on your way up, you may meet them again on your way back down.

The 41's are all stainless steel, and with the "DOVO" tang stamp in relief instead of being laser-etched, puts it at least 2011 or earlier. Not much more I can tell you, though. I was interested in a similar line a couple or years ago:

Anyone with any experience with a Dovo Inox #4155845 (or #4155846)?
