    Default Razor ID help needed

Found this razor in the wild. Can't make out the stamp. It seems old by the looks of the tail. Scales don't seem original though. I hit it with some MAAS and have some work yet to get it looking good. The file work on the spine caught my eye.

Anyone have a guess on manufacturer and approximate age? Thanks. Jeff. Name: image.jpg

Rough guess I would say 1830's-1840's maybe a bit older. The scales look newer

Scales are likely more modern. Blade is probably 1810s-20s (basing this on shape alone). The stamp is Patent Tempered Steel, which was common to see on items of the period.

Thank you. So a generic blade from the era. It's honing up quite well. Should shave nicely
