Thread: Strange staining on blade

I bought this razor several months back appearing to be in excellent condition and not appearing to have been rescaled any time recently judging by condition of the horn and collars. Recently it has begun developing this stain near the toe of the blade around where the blade meets the scales. It looks almost coppery to me, like a base plating was applied prior to a top coat. If anyone has seen anything like this some insight into what to do about ti would be very helpful. this is one of my favorite and best shaving blades and id like to keep it that way.
