What one do you have? Out of curiosity, I asked if they would make a wedge, their reply was *.. Yes, +50 to the razor" also their leas time is 3 - 4 weeks. I read in another thread that their shipping is $35, is that true?

I just ran a dummy purchase of a Hydra through their website, the shipping to Virginia was $6.80.

I have one. Very nice heavy quarter hollow 7/8. I don't like the scales and had asked to change but the note was lost as they were in a bit of an upheaval at the time. I decided to keep it and shave with it regularly. I will someday put some better scales on.

I'm no a fan of their limited scale options

I received my first Portland Razor about 3 weeks ago (Hydra 6/8 Walnut Scales). Start to finish it was just under 4 weeks and $6.80 to ship.

    Great razor, I love mine.

I can't speak for Portland Razors but I know for a fact that Revisor and at least One Custom Razor maker will supply just the blade so that custom scales can be made.

It wouldn't hurt to inquire about scaleless blades. However plan on some more $$$ to the total if you don't make scales yourself.

I bought one. A stock Leviathan. So good that I soon bought another with custom buckeye burl scales. Great razors.

PRC makes a great razor. Off-the shelf there lots of options, but scales are limited to 4 options at the listed price points, all blades are 1/4 hollow...the site speaks for itself.

There are customization options as well...so conceivably someone ordering could come up with.....virtually anything (if you look at their custom for-sale section, you can see some of the variations they have made over the past year for fun, and if you follow their Instagram you can see even more).

I have 2 PRC razors. One Leviathan stock 6/8 blade, with custom scales (translucent blonde buffalo horn). It is a fantastic shaver. I also purchased the custom smiling blade on their site with the glass acrylic scales (custom #3). This one is also fantastic. Even when going custom, the prices remain perfectly reasonable and an overall good value. Craftsmanship at their price-point is ahead of the market at large in my opinion, and they are a pleasure to deal with throughout the process. Yes you may have to wait a few weeks, but $ for $, you will have a hard time getting a better deal.

Scott and crew at Portland Razor are building great things from razors to strops. They are user friendly, will not mislead you, and deliver a quality product.

I have the Kraken. I don't remember what exactly my shipping cost was but I guarantee you it wasn't that much.
