    Default McKnight & Co. Razor

I found this at the antique mall close to my house...McKnight & Co., but can't seem to find any/much information for them. If they are the same as McKnight Cutlery Co...then this razor would be 1891-1899. Any Information would be welcomed!!!

The only reason I bought it was because $10 sounded pretty cheap to me. No cracks, little spine wear, narrow blade and no frown. I wanted a project I could practice restoring on and this seems to fit the bill. I plan to unpin it, clean the rust around the pivot, slight polish and re-pin.

Great looking razor should clean up really well with patience and elbow grease. Best of luck

Looks to be Sheffield made razor with their stamp. Who knows, there were many makers back then. Is there any markings on the back of the tang? Cool razor!

I like it! Neat looking razor, especially the area of transition from the blade face to the tang with the little notch and the jimps right there. Great find and a good price, I would have grabbed it too!

Thanks guys. There are no markings on the back side of the tang. Unless I'm mistaken, there might have been an "Royal Worcester" etching on the blade, but it is so light, that I'm not going to worry about it.

I filed the pins and removed the blade and noticed a couple of things: 1) there wasn't any rust around the pivot pin, it was only in the jumps...it was very light, a few strokes with a brass brush was all it took. 2) there wasn't any washers between the blade and scales, is this normal?
