    Default Razors, Port and Starboard

I'm thinking we could refer to razors as Port and Starboard. The top razor
being the Starboard side and the bottom Port side. you Navy guys should
see the logic behind this. Roy would you care to chime in?

How does the tail become the bow and the nose the stern?

    Ya got it backwards.
Let's start at the front, or bow and work back. So from the bow is midship, then helm, aft, then stern. Left is port, right is starboard. But who cares...just drive the boat,Bobby.

Port and left both have four letters in them. That's how I learned.

The starboard side usually has the makers stamp on the tang and may have an etching on the blade face. It is referred to as the show side. Go Navy!
