Thread: Can anyone date this razor? Case bros

Recently found this case straight razor while helping my dad clean out his basement. He doesn't even know how or when he got it. It had a very rough condition wooden box that had "case" on it but was almost illegible from age. In the box was a small hone and the razor which was in its own small box but I couldn't read anything on that box either. Anyway the says "case bros. little valley ny" And on the other side it is stamped "tested xx". I have searched the forums and the info I have found points to it being from 1912 or earlier but I think that may be wrong because it just doesn't seem that old to me.. Handle material seems to be some sort of plastic and just the way the etchings on the blade look doesn't seem that old. It also says "Ring Leader" on the blade. Any info would be appreciated.
