Thanked: 20Razors from The Perfect Edge?
Hi, I'm an experienced DE shaver, but taking my first steps in to SR shaving.
Howard at The Perfect Edge seems to have a fine reputation for honing and is now offering his own razors as well. I emailed him and he said his razors are suitable for beginner, but did not address my question re: grind of the blade i.e. Full hollow? Half?
Anyone have any info, experience or opinions on The Perfect Edge razors?
Thanks

Howard is the finest of gentlemen.
A little advice: Don't impede an 80,000 lbs. 18 wheeler tanker carrying hazardous chemicals.

Thanked: 4827The third picture shows really bad razor geometry. Frown and a heel hook. I have never done business with this guy, just going with what I see on his web site. I wonder where he is getting these made?
Some food for thought. It's not what you know, it's who you take fishing!

I talked to him a while back. Then he advised he was having his razors made in Pakistan. OK, I'd love to hear how that's working out.
I have heard that this gentleman is a true magician when it comes to putting an edge on a razor. I've heard first hand reports from people who KNOW what's going on with a razor edge that indeed...he is that good.

He has been around a long time and has had a good rep as a seller of hones, especially coticules. More recently I don't know. If you do a search his razors have been discussed and as I recall not favorably.
