Thanked: 5I Bought my Girlfriend a King Cutter
This one: https://www.boker.de/us/straight-razor/140621.html
I got a great deal on it.
Do women like this straight razor? If my girlfriend loves her Fusion, what's the probability that she'd go straight as opposed to convenience? In the years I've known her, I've seen her shave outside of a shower only once, and that was with my Fusion. We were in a hurry to go out. She was wearing shorts, otherwise she wouldn't have shaved her legs. Anyway, she shaved each leg in about a minute.
I plan to give it to her for Christmas.
Maybe I ought to get her something else.

Unless you KNOW she is lusting for a straight razor, I'd get her something else. As much as you and I would love to get one as a gift, it's a very slim group of people that appreciate them.

And if she doesn't love it, you can take good care of it for her

Thanked: 5Hi Wayne1963,
Thanks. You're probably right.
I got a great deal on that razor: $91 brand new, out the door.
My girlfriend is all about convenience, but she loves being pampered. She doesn't do waxing because it's inconvenient, it's expensive, and it hurts. She has done limited laser hair removal. Shaving is easier and more convenient. There are no appointments with shaving: jump in the shower, grab her Fusion, and in a couple minutes, she's good.
On the other hand, she loves antiques. She does appreciate aesthetic appeal of straight razors.

That's the same approached I've used on her about guns and fishing stuff I've bought for her. In return, she has taught me how to duck. For a small girl, she packs a punch.
Maybe I'll keep it and buy her an all day spa visit where she can be pampered.
I'm not sure that I'd go this expensive, but I could afford it, she'd love it more than a straight razor. She'll come home silky smooth, and someone else will do it for her: https://www.montagehotels.com/spamon...pecial-offers/
My ex-wife spent way too much of money that I could've put to much better use, like Costa Rica fishing trips, on spa trips.

Thanked: 5I think I oughta look in to an alternative Christmas present. Like make perfume, or...I have no clue. Maybe a week vacation in Costa Rica or Peru. If she doesn't wanna fish, she can hit a spa. She'll know where to find me ;-)

Get yourself s purple brush, let her notice it a few weeks before watch her reaction, then you'll have an idea what to do
