Shaving with the Tallinn
I finished my 3rd shave with my new Tallinn straight by Frans today. The razor is named for the historic capital city of Estonia on the Baltic Sea.
Contrary to many straights that come direct to us from the maker this razor is shave ready and has only required stropping between shaves. This is a 13/16th blade that is designed and made for easy control and provides a smooth shave. A single pass with a ATG pass in a couple of places is all that it took. As with most of my straight shaves Castle Forbes Cedarwood/Sandalwood cream is my go to cream. I made a slight adjustment in the angle of the razor against my skin as I mostly shave with full hollow Japanese western style razors and this is a 1/4 hollow with a slight smile that glides through the whiskers.
Like my Raven straight from Frans the Tallinn is a well built, straight forward, solid, well balanced beautiful razor. It will be shaving for many generations after I am history.

Glad to hear another good review of one of Frans razors.
I am 'patiently' waiting for my custom from Frans to arrive. Hopefully, it will be here within a week or so.
