Thanked: 480I just found it curious that there is no mention of any maker at all on the blade. I was unaware that Grah made razors for Droescher but now that you say that, the style and grinding is the same. As for that box, its from a Mappin set...

Thanked: 480Yea, I cant call them ALL my favorites, but these are some of them. The Mappin set would be amazeballs restored to its glory, but between my skills not being high enough yet, and joint/tendon problems limiting how much work I can do, I decided to let that go to somebody who hopefully will cherish it and maybe give it the love it deserves.

Thanked: 4822I have seen a few Grah and Plumacher razors marked for others. It seems the have the tuning fork ver small and often on the back side of their rebrands.
It's not what you know, it's who you take fishing!

I have couple Blue Diamond's. One is a Grah & Plumacher & the other is an S.R. Droescher.
On the opposite side of the tang it reads S.R. Droescher, Garwood, NJ, Made In Germany. It also has a third pin in the scales.
On the opposite side of the tang it reads Grah & Plumacher, Solingen-Weyer, Germany
As Martin said, Grah & Plumacher was the owner of the Blue Diamond trademark & I was thinking bass ackwards. I thought maybe S.R. Droescher made some for Grah & Plumacher since they started grinding razors in Cranford, NJ in 1916 unless that is one of the misprints in Goins like Martin has mentioned before. I did look at the following link & they show Grah & Plumacher & the models but they left out the Blue Diamond:
Razor makers
There is no mention of S.R. Droescher on there because they ground their razors in the U.S. Confusing.........
These are damn good razors though!
