Question Dovo Black Star with ornate spine. Anyone see one like this before?

Hello, I'm new here and this is my first attempt at posting, so I apologize in advance if something goes wrong.
I've been SR shaving for about a year now, and always looking for new and/or interesting razors to add to my collection. I recently purchased this Dovo 141 Black Star, which came from an estate sale, and was hoping to pin down the approximate year it would have been manufactured. It has a stamped tang, so I know it's not current production, but it also has a spine like I've never seen on this model. There are notches cut into the sides that are gold, like the lettering on the tang. I've searched the forums and online for any images of this model with a spline like this and can't find anything. Any ideas?

Welcome to the forum. If you go here STRAZORS.com - all about classic razors - DOVO, Fritz Bracht, Solingen, Germany. you can try and match the logo on your razor to one of the logos Dovo has used over the years. My guess would be that your razor was made between 1991 and the present but I can't clearly see the logo on the tang. A close up photo of the logo would help if you can manage it.

Alternately you could try contacting Dovo directly with a photo attached and ask them when that particular model was made.

Nice razor in any event, congrats.

Thanks Bob, I appreciate the link. It's definitely the 1991-present logo.
