Thanked: 0Razor info wanted
I got two family heirloom straight razors today that I want to find more info on.
Brown one says,
Crescent on one side and
LOEFFLER & SYKES
ROCHESTER N.Y.
M.I.GERMANY
on the other
I believe it is from 1897-1904
The white one says,
MIKWEES GOODLUCK
on the blade
MIKWEE & Bro
53 Washington Street, N.Y.
I am new to this forum and not sure how to post pictures.

Thanked: 4828In the window you type your message, therein an icon third from the right that looks like a tree in a picture frame. Click that and the rest is relatively simple.
It's not what you know, it's who you take fishing!

Welcome to SRP. Just going by the names it sounds like those were made in Solingen for a USA hardware, or barber supply. Unless the maker has a distinct logo of his own on the razor or scales (handles) it may be impossible to tell who made it. When you post the photos more will be revealed.
Be careful how you treat people on your way up, you may meet them again on your way back down.

Thanked: 0I am accessing this site from my phone. Perhaps that is the reason I don't see it.
I also tried the app tapatalk.

There is a way to post photos with tapatalk. I can't tell you what it is, but I've done it a time or two in the past. If you look at the thread/post on your page you may see a drop down menu, or an icon that will get it done. Long time since I used it.
