Nello Frame Back
Just impulisivly bought a Nello Frame Back on the Bay. I've never had a FB and thought it would be a nice addition to my collection. She's gonna take a little work to clean up and re-grind. Looking forward to a new project.
What's everyones thoughts on Frame Backs?
Happy Thanksgiving,
Doug

Thanked: 4827I'm not sure what you are going to regrind. It does look like it might take a bit of effort to get a bevel back. I hope the spot just forward of the heel is tarnish and not burned, my bet would be tarnish. I had a hard time with my first few frameback shaves but now that I have them dialed in they are awesome.

Thanked: 4206Frame backs a good razor with a different feel. IMO, and based on the two I own, the blade feels stiffer than my traditional straights, thinner overall, and hone easier from a 'starting from bread knife' perspective.
Looks like a good one. Don't think it'll need re grinding per say. Resetting/shaping of bevel for sure, and some general clean up and good 2 go..
