Got this razor as a Christmas present. Giver doesn't know much about razors. Neither do I. Couldn't find much on it searching myself so time to hit up the experts.

Thanked: 3228A great big stab in the dark here. How about the possibility that John Gibbons was a cutler in Westport County Mayo Ireland and sold razors among other things. That is going by the etching on the blade which seems Irish to me.
