Default Wade & butcher 8/8 FBU

My new baby! A beautiful near wedge 8/8 for barbers use wth an oversized Barbers notch from W&B. Its almost perfect in terms of Honewear and even width.
Ive scaled it in English oak scales which i think goes nice with that good old engliah steel. im thinking of making some nice bone scles for it though.

Can anyone give me any info on dating FBU blades from W&B? Id love to have an approximate date if anyone can help.^^

I have one, they are great shavers. Use it in good health.

Nice looking razor. I'm no expert but I'd guess 1850's 1860's. Hard narrowing down manufacturing dates sometimes. Nice score

What a beauty. The scales work good for that blade.

    Nice razor.

Myself...I think it would look great in Dark Horn...
    That is just my opinion.

The wood just doesn't look right to me. (Although you did a GREAT JOB on them!)
