    Default Razor grind?

Got myself my first koraat razor and I must say first impression is great. Only thing weird, the site doesn't have the grind, from everything I've seen from koraat he's knowing for wedge or near wedge (if that's a thing). Esbjerg-Koraat - 6/8 straight razor, bi-color ebony, french point | Esbjerg First time I've handled anything but a full hollow. As soon as I put it the strop it sounded and felt different. You feel like you aren't even stropping right without that noise. Hoping that's normal. Pretty quiet operation on my face as well. Looks like a wedge to me Name: IMG_0970.jpg

It's normal with thicker grinds. You can see some of the various grinds here:

Correct in that all of the different grinds (and some different steels) will have a different sound on the strop. It will also sound different on your face. Nothing to worry about.

    Nice looking razor!

They make a different sound, it's normal. Ulrik makes wedges, 1/4 hollow, 1/2 hollow and full hollow razors.

Yup, the heavier the grind the less noise it makes while shaving. OTH I can't say any of the grinds sound louder or quieter on the strop to me, all about the same.

Outback those wade and butchers r a couple of beauty's. If u ever need to unload that excess inventory let me know. The deeper I get into this rabbit hole I keep seeing that manufacturer pop up. Hoping I can have a couple people take me to school on them.
