Well first of all, hi. Nice to meet you. So nice of you to join us.
It's a razor that was made in Germany for a barber supply company in Pittsburg PA. The box is not original to the razor. A picture would be helpful.
Do you own this razor?B.J.

The blade looks like it's has a hollow grind with a round point, making it an ideal blade for a beginner. The toe end looks a little worn from some uneven honing(sharpening) but at this point it's only a cosmetic issue. The scales(handles) are made of celluloid that are made to look like ivory. This material is often called "French Ivory". It was made in(M.I.) Germany for a Pitsburg barber supply company that would have sold it in the Pittsburgh area.
Are you planning to learn to shave with it?Last edited by BeJay; 01-08-2017 at 11:06 AM.

I would guess that it was made in the mid 20th century. The best way to figure it out would be to research the barber supply company to figure out when they were in business.

Looks pretty good. Send it off to a professional honer and then shave with it.
