    Default Question about Iwasaki Straight

Saw this post and got excited. Then upon looking at the pictures. First the grind and stabilizers look "off". Also the tang marks are etched on. Not stamped.
Am I correct in thinking this may not be the bargain it appears to be?
I follow this seller and have purchased from him in the past. Not making accusations of intentional misrepresentation. But have what I believe are reasonable doubts.

I do not see anything wrong with the razor, it is a late production Swedish steel model.

I have the same Iwasaki with etched tang. Shaves like a dream.

Ok learned something new. I was unaware that he made razors with etched markings.
Thanks for the quick responses guys. Ken

I have one. Good shaver. I expect it to not be the most desirable Iwasaki, yet it IS one!

I'm unsure of the stamp I always thought Iwasaki stamps were deeply stamped that one looks lightly etched to me I wouldn't buy it, this is my Iwasaki stamp, another thing I would question is the blade shape I haven't seen any with that shape blade and the double stabilizer the grinding to my eye looks very sub standard and definitely not something I see in Iwasaki razors.

Those were my thoughts as well Crusader. But from the responses it seems there were examples late with etching instead of stamps.
Seems maybe these were made to come in at a lower price point than your razor maybe? If so it would make sense that they would use different processes to achieve that. Your example at that price would be imho a steal. That example maybe not so much. Ken
