A bit better there...12 I think.
It's not really a shopping list is it, Martin?

It is worth noting that many of the names in the first list would not necessarily be reflected in the marks on the blade.
Hanah Cadman's products were marked BENGALL. Brittain, Wilkinson, & Brownell made both the well known GB razors as well as ones marked "FRANCE", "EXCELLENT", and "VRAI".
Also, James Crawshaw's products were marked CRAWSHAW, not 'Crowshaw'.
There are some notable omissions as well, like Wade & Butcher and Thomas Scargill who were both producing from 1818 to 1820.-Zak Jarvis. Writer. Artist. Bon vivant.

Thanked: 4249Zak, it is not a makers mark list, it is a razor maker/manufacturer list attached to a specific year written in that specific time period, that makes it extremely valuable to me because there is no heresy, just like a newspaper reports current event. Take the list for what its worth.

Well, keep in mind these sort of directory listings also very frequently had spelling errors, I pointed out the Crowshaw/Crawshaw because it's one I know. Also Wade & Butcher and Thomas Scargill were both *definitely* operating from 1818 to 1820, but they aren't listed there. There may very well be others.

Hoowee! If the list was complete, then........I would have LOTS more of them!
So the media was omitting stuff even back then?
