    Default Date Codes

I have had fun this after noon. My wife found a DE in a box that she or i didn't have any idea of where it came from. The box leads us to think it was either her mothers or one of her husbands.......

It is a Z-4. The last quarter of 1954. I then had to compare it to one that I like to use which is a K-1 or a first quarter of 1965.

I enjoy the threads trying to decide if a razor is from the 1700's or the 1800'S or if they are pre or post 1890's.

But it is fun to have the date within 3 months.

I now continue with my boring life..................

P.S. I wonder if I should DNA test the hair I found in it and that would solve the mystery.

I stopped at a shop today the usually has a good selection of cooking stuff looking for a double boiler.

On a shelf I noticed a red tip that I couldn't read the code because of gunk. I could read the 1. For a $1 I couldn't resist. It is a

B-1 or the first quarter of 1956.

    Have I caught another disorder?

No, just a different manifestation of the existing disorder.
