Thanked: 66Seeking history - EH Robinson Straight Razor
recently picked up this razor but cant find any mention in the SRP database. closest google search gave me an antique mahogany stick barometer but no other mentions of any kind nor any info re: razor manufacture.

anyone have any ideas on its age and home origin? im assuming London? but when?
razor is roughly 6/8 full hollow. cleaned up well. and took a nice even bevel.
looking forward to shaving with it tomorrow.
thank you in advance.

Thanked: 4249Very nice razor, E. H. Robinson was a Jeweler, Silversmith, Watch Maker and Optician. 1850-1910. Probably a Sheffield maker, made for E. H. Robinson in the later part of the 19th century.

Thanked: 4249Perhaps Robinson was the maker after all, according to this advertisement from 1865.
