    Default Handmade razors under $200?

I'm looking for a new razor under $200 that is manufactured by a small business. So far, I've found Portland Razor and Jacob Ray that both have some pretty nice looking handmade razors. Who are some others I should look at? I know there are some that make amazing looking razors for $500+, but that's well out of my price range. Thanks!

Jerry stark maybe? I have not owned one but know several folks who highly regard his work and the price range on his razors should yield something that would work I believe.

Brian Brown Razors are about that range, some for more, occasional sales for less! I owned one, and it was very well done and shaved great. He is here on SRP as well Milemarker60 I think?

If his production line of razors are in that price range I would personally go for that over any of the others purely based on appearance. It's funny how subtle differences in a basic design will catch your eye but of all the brands mentioned above his catch my eye whereas the others I honestly am not a fan of.

You can get a razor that is made by a "small" shop for that price but if you are looking for "handmade: that is out of the question.

Under $200 is maybe enough to cover cost but with no labor.

I just looked up Brian Brown and they really look great. Any more I should look at? I recognize I'll be getting a production line razor and not anything really custom--I just want something kind of unique

Fixed blade vs folding may open up a wider range of makers, if you are comfortable using a fixed. Just a thought.

Last time out he posted a sale, his 6/8 was under 200. And yes, they look WAY better than many of the others. Classic, yet sleek. and his fit and finish are above average in my opinion.

Herr razors on eBay are just a bit over your price but I have one and really enjoy it. Also just received a PRC razor and its a great razor and in your price range.

Brian Brown 6/8 would be a good choice. Looks like a well made, functional razor. Reasonably priced.
