I'm new to straight razors and I'm looking for my 1st one. I've found a New Kracken that has honey ox horn scales. The Kracken with out the ox scales list for $165. This one has the horn scales which is a +$65 option. It's listed at $150 is this a good deal?

Thanked: 2284If the pic is his own, and the razor is actually in that condition, I would say yes. It is a good deal. Especially if you can go and pick it up yourself.

and maybe your lucky and he hasn't already dulled the razor, and cant use it anymore so hes getting rid of it,, PRC is a decent enough razor in the mid range, so if its worth it to you then its worth it, to others it may not be that's why we don't place values, but you may need to send it off to be honed so you can learn how to shave Tc

Thanked: 23So, did you buy it? Looks like a good PRC razor. I'm pleased with mine, and if worse comes to worse, you can get it honed by PRC for $15 or $20, plus postage.

Thanked: 1I did pick it up. It was in perfect condition. Stropped it up and did my first full shave with it today. I'll have to add some more PRC's to my collection. Very well made.
