Good decision -- Dovo makes a decent razor, and I started with one from SRD myself.

Came across this thread so I thought I'd put in my $.02
I bought one of those Fendrihan straight razors. It came as advertised (shave ready) and I used it to shave with for several months with no issue. I cannot speak to the quality of blade but if I had to guess i'd say that whoever said the blank came from China and it was honed, etched, and had scales put on it in Canada is probably on the right track.
If I could go back in time I would have just purchased a restored razor or two from here and have been done with it. Not a bad starting razor, but you can definitely get more bang for your buck elsewhere...
