Haynes, Pillsbury & Co
Hanyes, Pillsbury & Co Bangor maine. My best estimated date range is 1879-1891 on this one.
Prior to 1879 The firm was named Haynes & Pillsbury, business partners being J.W. Haynes and Fred A.H. Pillsbury. The two being Joined by Charles L Chalmers between 1878 and 1879.
(Some details assumed according to a deposition and details regarding a suit involving the European & North American Railway.)
This razor looks to me to be american made, possibly by Holley mfg co??? Obviously it would be impossible to say for certain but the style and timing would fit as well as the fact that Holley marketed mainly to hardware retailers, jobbers etc in New England and surrounding area.Last edited by silverloaf; 03-05-2017 at 10:16 PM.

As reported in "The Iron Age" Sept 10, 1891 the firm was dissolved, J.W Haynes retired and Fred H Pillsbury continued on with the business.
This doesn't appear to be the case at all however, as according to Pillsbury Family Genealogy Frederick A. H. Pillsbury Died in Sept. 1891 in Bangor Maine.
It becomes more clear from the report in "The Iron Age" dated Jan. 7, 1892 where it states That Charles L Chalmers Purchased an interest in the business and that he and Haynes would continue on styled as "Haynes & Chalmers."Silverloaf

Advertisement for Haynes & Chalmers with their Exchange street address. Postcard with Postmark date 1902 "Haynes & Chalmers Co." In the colored slide you can see the 1911 Bangor Maine fire, with a view of the rear of Exchange street. Over on the right hand side of the slide you can see the building marked "Haynes & Chalmers."
