Good price I gave $160 I believe for mine like 2 years ago.

Carbon and Stainless are two different metals. I will warn you to be sure to wipe this blade off when done using it and oil it even the gold etch. Mine has a finger print on the tang that I just noticed the other day. It will rust and water spot if not cleaned and oiled which is no big deal to do.

    Coates Gun Oil works well.

Stay away from organic oils like camellia. They can go rancid.

rolodave nailed it, you do not need to coat the scales at all.

After use care, Wipe blade clean with tissue paper. Carefully I might add.
Take a square of toilet paper fold in half and go between the scales to get the moisture you can.
I would then let the blade air dry a bit then apply oil and store it where ever you are going to keep it. I would say NOT in the bathroom.
I think you will enjoy this razor and really you did find a great price. Any other questions feel free to ask
