Thanked: 1STARA #908, anyone familiar?
I found a very nice looking STARA #908 in a local shop today but I cannot find any information about it online. The blade is stamped "Made in Germany" and "STARA 908" and it has the box but google is coming up blank.
Any thoughts? Is it worth trying out or has the internet forgotten it for a reason.

Thanked: 3226You can try sifting through this Razor makers . I am guessing STARA is a trade mark or a contraction of the owner's names.

Thanked: 3226Yes, that razor looks to be in excellent condition from the photo. I have not run into a bad razor that was made in Solingen and there are very many not well know makers from Solingen. I see too that it is extra hollow ground according to what is written on the coffin. Those types of blades really sing when you shave with them.

I'd use it being from Germany I imagine it will be a great razor. Looks very clean should be a quick fixer

Thanked: 38Very nice looking extra hollow. I'd buy it, but I stay out of those kinds of stores so I don't have to... The chicken way to avoid temptation...
