Revisor Razor hacked or closed?
Just gone to look on Revisors website and it appears the site isn't functioning.
Anyone got any information about this and if it's a hack or a closure? I know they were taking time off for illness and were due back to business at the end of January.Last edited by Iceni; 03-15-2017 at 08:31 PM.

The site looks fine to me. I did a quick browse of their Rarities and the Puma razor sections, clicking on a couple of razors to view.

Thanked: 292I was directed to the Viagra site as well.
The Internet runs on IP addresses, not domain names. Web browsers rely on domain names. Thus, there are numerous Domain Name Servers around the world that match domain names to the appropriate IP address. It sounds like the DNS records for the domain revisor-solingen.de got corrupted on at least some, if not all, of these servers. The corruption could have been a deliberate hack, or perhaps, just an error.
Google, which runs it own set of Domain Name Servers, apparently recognized the inconsistency between the site its robots accessed vs previous records for Revisor in its system. Thus, it marked the site as a possible hack.
Hopefully, the situation will be cleared up soon.

I was on it eyeing up the 7/8 spanish point Revisor. Perhaps in blonde.... The viagra has already taken effect.

Thanked: 351Yes, it looks like something has happened. DNS send you to http and the viagra stuff, whereas if you manually type https, you get a warning about the certificate being odd....
The https does link to the revisor site, but with these issues... I would not suggest making any financial transaction until it gets sorted out. A phone call would be a better option, but you'd better hope there's no nefarious operator listening for your credit card details! And frankly, after what I heard about the certificate issuer on Security Now, with Steve Gibson.... I don't think I would risk it at all.
Note, I use a Linux operating system and feel comfortable barging into nasty websites.... Windows and Mac users may need to tread a little more carefully, though I wouldn't know, as I have not use those systems for 10+ years."Aw nuts, now I can't remember what I forgot!" --- Kaptain "Champion of lost causes" Zero

Thanked: 351That was fast... DNS is now directing traffic to Revisor again... but alas, it's still defaulting to http instead of https... If I were doing a financial transaction, I would insist on the link being encrypted!
