Thanked: 0Yankee Wedge
Does anyone have info on Werner Brothers Yankee Wedge? I'm looking for an approximate era. I'm ASSUMING it's 1920-1930s because it has translucent yellow bakelite scales. Any thoughts??
I can't wait to clean it up and add it to the rotation!

Hello. Pictures would be helpful. Is there a country of manufacture on the tang? Any other markings on the tang?

I believe you meant "Wester Bros." They were operating under that name from 1904 until 1967. They made great quality razors, knives and medical implements. I have a Yankee Wedge and it's a nice shaver. I believe the scales are celluloid.

I think BeJay is correct in saying its a Wester Bros. If it is they are nice shaving razors. You can find more information by searching Wester Brothers or Yankee cutlery. It might be the photo but the edge seems to have a frown. It can be repaired. Good luck.

Yep, def Wester Brothers. It's in pretty good shape, can't wait to shine it up and add it to the collection! Thanks for the help! I'll assume this is roughly turn of the century era.

Thanked: 4249Indeed, Wester Bros was in business from 1904-1967, but this razor doesn't have the Anchor star trademark like many others. That trademark was registered May 06 , 1907. That said it fair to say that this razor was made between 1904- 1907. Enjoy.
Ran into this display razor a while back.
